At New Life Midwest, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Our mission is to empower patients through personalized treatment plans that foster recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

Jacob Scheer, a physician specializing in internal medicine, has served as a hospitalist in Springfield, IL, since 2018. Recognizing the need for substance use treatment, he completed a fellowship in addiction medicine at St. Louis University. His wife, Brandy Scheer, a Nurse Practitioner certified in family medicine, shifted her focus to addiction medicine after her brother's overdose in 2016. She has worked as a hospitalist in Springfield, IL, and earned an MBA and MHA from the University of Phoenix in 2023. In addition to addiction medicine, she will be providing Psychiatric Mental Health Care starting in 2025.

Together, they founded New Life Midwest to support individuals in the community with mental health and substance use.
